closes great!
works like a charm! .. my dog figured out how to open the screen door, but can’t seem to learn how to close it. This door closer puts just enough tension on the door that she is hesitant to try to open it, but when she does, it now closes.

Not strong enough for pocket door
I bought the pair for a pocket door. It does not do the job. It is not powerful enough to close the door perfectly every time. I mean… not at all without any help from me. Can it be useful in a different context? yes sure but not with pocket door…

These are surprisingly strong for their size.
I bought these to close the door to the room where I keep my dogs kibbles, as one of my dogs is always trying to get in the kibbles container.These devices look weak and flimsy but they are surprisingly strong. The door I installed them on, is a very heavy door. I installed the device at the outside edge of the door thinking this was the place the “weak”retractable wire would have a chance to do its job.To my surprise, I close the door without difficulty. I even have to push harder on the door to open it. I should have installed it near the middle of the door as the spring retracting the cable is very powerful.

Not for moderate use
Had to stack two together to close my door with enough pull. It Worked good for two weeks and then one of the cable’s snapped

Closer
So far so good. For the money it was an inexpensive fix. For the quality I suspect they will need to be changed every year.

works like it should
works ok, wire has to ride over the door frame moulding, which would wear significantly. Price is way too high for this piece of plastic. But it does its job.
